What to know before your procedure
Being well-prepared can help your treatment go smoothly and ensure a stress-free experience. Please review the following before your appointment:
- Follow eating and drinking guidelines: Depending on your procedure and sedation options, we may recommend having a full breakfast in the morning! If you’re not sure, call us.
- Medications: Inform us of any medications you are taking. Some may need to be adjusted before treatment.
- Transportation plan: If sedation is involved, arrange for someone to drive you home.
- Comfortable clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment.

Bring the essentials
- Dental insurance card
- Photo ID
- Referral slip (if applicable)
- Complete online patient registration prior to your visit
Recovery starts with the right aftercare
Your post-op care is just as important as the procedure itself. Proper healing helps prevent complications and ensures long-term success. Follow these guidelines for a smooth recovery:
- Manage discomfort: Mild soreness is expected after treatment. Over-the-counter or prescribed medications can help alleviate discomfort.
- Avoid strenuous activities: Give your body time to heal by avoiding heavy exercise and intense physical activity for a few days.
- Eat soft foods: Stick to a soft diet for the first 24-48 hours to avoid unnecessary pressure on the treated area.
- Maintain oral hygiene: Keep the area clean but be gentle when brushing and flossing near the treatment site.
- Follow medication guidelines: If antibiotics or pain relievers are prescribed, take them as directed.
Know when to call us: If you experience severe pain, swelling, or unusual symptoms, don’t hesitate to reach out.
